Causeway 2011 Announcement

Dear Scrabblers,

I am pleased to provide you with the details for 10th Causeway Scrabble Challenge. It will be held from 30th November till 4th December 2011 at Zon Regency Hotel, Johor Bahru, Malaysia. There will be a total of 4 Divisions, namely Premier, Masters, Advanced and Open. All Divisions play 45 rounds of Scrabble.

I am pleased to announce that a total of US$180,000 prize money will be given away among the 4 Divisions.

1) Premier Division

4th Position:  US$10,000

Wespa Ratings: 1900 and above

Draw: King of the Hill (Repeats ALL THE WAY) from Game 1 to 45

Please note that players who have Ratings within a band of 50 Wespa Ratings can opt to play in the next upper Division. For players who do not have Wespa ratings, their local ratings will be used instead.

Accommodation Package:

Single Room:

A) With Meals and 5 nights package - RM1,500
B) Room and Breakfast Only - RM300 per night

Double Room:

A) With Meals and 5 nights package - RM1,100
B) Room and Breakfast Only - RM250 per night

Transfer between Changi airport and Zon Regency Hotel:

RM120 per person per way

Last but not least, the closing date is 9 September 2011. Late entry SHALL NOT be entertained.

I am afraid this is the only solution to eradicate the noise level so that we can all have the maximum amount of sleep to achieve the maximum financial reward for one and all.
