Prizemoney galore on offer

Tournaments announced for later this year or early next year:

• The World Youth Scrabble Championships, relocated from Qatar to Johor Bahru, Malaysia, (because of the chief organiser Judith Britten's shift to Oman). Again with a side tournament (Johor Bahru Round Robin) for adults, and preceded by the princess Cup in Bangkok, offering big prize money for juniors.
• The eighth iGATE International in Bangalore, 20–22 January, with two divisions and a total prize money of around US$13,500.
• The fourth Israeli Open, in Netanya, on the Mediterranean Coast, 10–12 February, with minimum prize fund doubled to 2000 euros.
