NEWSFLASH • Committee addition

Shakir Reshamwala of Kuwait is the newest member of the Promotions Committee. Shakir is a front-page editor of the Kuwait Times and an international player. He joins chair Howard Warner (NZ), webmaster Craig Beevers (UK) and Michael McKenna (Aust).

Promotions is the most recently established committee of WESPA. Its aims are to:

• raise the profile of global Scrabble
• build the audience
• keep members informed
• woo sponsors
