One of the stated aims of WESPA is to institute International Ratings in order that players from different countries can be compared. A Ratings sub-committee has been formed to investigate this issue.

The Ratings Committee members are:

Radhika Mahalingaiah (India)

The Official SOWPODS Ratings formally endorsed by WESPA are generally regarded as the best available guide for ranking players Internationally.
