The first ever German Open, held in mid-March, was a truly international affair, with players from eight different countries finishing among the top 12. Overall winner was Israel's Evan Cohen (19 wins out of 22), followed by Terry Kirk of England (15) and Mihai Pantis of Romania (14.5). Highest game score of 606 went to Poland's Bartosz Pieta.
