About this Event

The WESPA Scrabble Summit Cup is a year-end invitational championship for the world’s top 24 ranked players and 4 invited wild card players with qualification based solely on the WESPA Year-to-Date (YTD) rankings at the end of each calendar year.

The Summit Cup is held alongside the WESPA Open.

Eligibility Criteria
  1. Top 24 Scrabble players on the YTD rankings as of September 30, 2026.
  2. Four (4) wild card entries (to be invited at the discretion of WESPA Committee)
  3. Qualifiers must NOT be serving any ban or observing any disciplinary conditions.
  4. Qualifiers must be paid-up members of registered WESPA member nations.

Any player ranked in the top 24 who is ineligible or unavailable will forfeit their place to the next eligible player on the WESPA Year-to-Date (YTD) rankings. All participants must sign an undertaking to comply with the championship’s code of conduct and regulations.

Registration Fee

The registration fee for the WESPA Summit Cup, 2026 is EUR 255 per player and includes:

  • Championship entry levy.
  • Tea breaks & Lunch.
  • Branded event shirt.
  • Awards gala dinner ticket.
  • Entry into a raffle draw for free registration in 2027.
